Chapter 8: Roof Assembly

Installing the Roof Panel Support Clips

The roof panel clips provide support to the roof panels.

Before You Begin

Roof panel support clips must be installed before installing the roof panel.

What You Should Know

The roof panel support clips will be installed to the purlins 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Refer to

Attachment Loca-

tions of Purlins to Rafters, page 144

1. Install the roof panel support clip (107) to purlin 1 (46) using six 3/8" x 1" flange bolts (7) and 3/8"

flange nuts (18).

2. Install the roof panel support clip (106) to purlin 2 (47) using six 3/8" x 1" flange bolts (7) and 3/8"

flange nuts (18).

3. Install the roof panel support clip (105) to purlin 3 (48) using six 3/8" x 1" flange bolts (7) and 3/8"

flange nuts (18).

4. Install the roof panel support clip (104) to purlin 4 (49) using six 3/8" x 1" flange bolts (7) and 3/8"

flange nuts (18).
