3.1 General Overview
This chapter explains the basic procedure for analyzing and troubleshooting problems on the
printer quickly and efficiently.
3.1.1 Preliminary Check
Make sure to verify or perform the following items whenever servicing the
printer.
3.1.2 Diagnosing Failures

Diagnosing failures by the LED indications
When diagnosing failures from the lighting or flashing patterns of the LEDs on the printer,

Diagnosing failures based on error message
When diagnosing failures from messages displayed in the printer window, see

All of the harnesses are free from damages and their connectors are connected
properly (straight in the correct direction) to their connectors.

The cams and gears in the printer mechanism are engaged correctly showing no signs
of wear.
