Autopark Function
The EPB Autopark function automatically activates the electric
parking brake when the engine is switched off. At each Key-on, the
Autopark function is always active by default: this means that the
driver does not need to apply the parking brake when the engine is
switched off.
If necessary, the function may be temporarily disabled before
switching off the engine by pressing the
AUTO PARK
button
C
:
the message “PARK OFF” is displayed for 5 seconds on the left
hand TFT display. In this case, after the engine is switched off, the
parking brake must be engaged manually by pulling the lever
B
. To
re-enable automatic EPB engagement at the next key-off, press the
button
C
again; the message “PARK ON” is displayed for 5 seconds
on the left hand TFT display.
“Automatic Vehicle Holding” AVH function
The Automatic Vehicle Holding function of the electric parking
brake ensures optimised release when moving off from a standstill:
after engine start, the system uses the service brakes to hold the
vehicle instead of the parking brake shoes.
