Before Installing the

Steps for Installing
a
Prepare the FOMA terminal and FOMA

Internet Explorer settings
Before installing the DOCOMO Connection
Manager, make sure to set connection setting to
[ダイヤルしない (Never dial a connection)] on the
Internet Options setting of the Internet Explorer.

Start the Internet Explorer, select [ツール
(Tools)] ▶ [インターネットオプション (Internet
Options)]

Select [接続 (Connections)] tab, then select
[ダイヤルしない (Never dial a connection)]

Click [OK]
Note
<Using a connection software other than the
DOCOMO Connection Manager>
The DOCOMO Connection Manager has equivalent
functions of following software so that there is no
need of using such software at the same time.
* Change the settings not to start or uninstall
the following software as needed.
• mopera U start up tool
• mopera U connection & setting tool
• FOMA PC setting software
• FOMA byte counter
When you use Mzone (public wireless LAN
connection) using the DOCOMO Connection
Manager, please uninstall following public wireless
LAN connection software.
* If any of the following software is installed, the
DOCOMO Connection Manager cannot establish
the Mzone connection.
• U public wireless LAN utility software
• DOCOMO public wireless LAN utility software
• DOCOMO public wireless LAN utility program

Log on as a user of the DOCOMO
Connection Manager

For Windows Vista
An administrator account is required. If
you log on with an account other than
the administrator account, a screen will
appear asking to enter a user name and
the password during the installation
process.

For Windows XP/2000
You need to log on with one of the
Administrators Group accounts or a user
of "コンピュータの管理者 (Administrator)"
account.

Quit all running programs
Quit resident programs on Windows including a
virus check software.
• Example: Right-click an icon on a task bar,
select [閉じる (Close)] or [終了 (Quit)].
