10. Measure diameter of crankshaft outboard bearing bore with bore gage. See Figure 146.

[a] If limit values are exceeded, replace gear case. Refer to section C 024.05.11.
[b] If limit values are not exceeded, continue inspection.
11. Enter measurement values in data sheet.
12. Check condition of outboard bearing.
[a] If the outboard bearing is damaged or out of specification, remove with a suitable
removal brass drift. Refer to section C 024.05.05.
[b] Measure the gear case bore, and install a new outboard bearing in the gear case.
Refer to sectionC 024.05.11.
[c] If the outboard bearing is not damaged, continue inspection.
