FUEL PUMP PRESSURE TOO HIGH
Start with the first probable cause for fuel pump pressure too high listed in Table 8, perform the
check and take the suggested remedial action. If the problem persists, go to the next probable
cause, perform the check, etc., until troubleshooting is complete.

H.P. fuel pump —quantity/pres-
sure regulator (actuating solenoid)
Harsh engine running noise at
idling connector and wiring.
Suction valve
Repair; replace if necessary

Start with the first probable cause for high pressure fuel pump leaking at the weep hole
listed in Table 9, perform the check and take the suggested remedial action.
