5. Remove starter (1) (“A” bank) by lifting out through the opening in the flywheel housing.
See Figure 740.
6. Disconnect the engine electrical system.
7. Tag starter leads for assembly.
8. Disconnect the (2) (“B” bank) starter leads. See Figure 740.
9. Remove three bolts (3) securing the starter to the flywheel housing. See Figure 740.
10. Remove starter (2) ("B" bank) by lifting out through the opening in the flywheel housing.
