Maintenance and Adjustment of the UV
1) Replacing the V-Belt
Install bolts (1) into the
secondary fixed sheave holes
as shown in the figure.
Note:
Tightening the bolts (1) will push the
secondary sliding sheave away,
causing the gap between the secondary
fixed and sliding sheaves to widen.
Remove the V-belt (1) from the
primary and secondary sheave.
2) Install the new V-belt with the
direction arrow facing the direction
shown in figure.
3) Remove the bolts used to widen
the gap on the secondary sheaves.
4) Install the following:
Drive belt cover
Console
Passenger’s seat
Driver’s seat
Cleaning the Spark Arrester
1) Clean:
Tap the tailpipe lightly with a soft-face
hammer or suitable tool, then use a
wire brush to remove any carbon
deposits from the spark arrester
portion of the tailpipe and the inner
contact surfaces of the muffler
.
2) Remove the bolts (1).
3) Remove the tailpipe (2) by pulling it
out of the muffler.
4) Clean as necessary.
5) Insert the tailpipe into the muffler and
align the bolt holes, retighten the bolts.
