Chapter 4– Troubleshooting
Operator Recoverable Errors
This chapter describes common errors that can occur with the Trendsetter
and how to resolve them.
Operator recoverable errors usually result in a suspend condition and
require manual intervention to get the output device to recover and
resume imaging. For details on common error messages and
recommended operator actions, see
Error Messages and Recommended
Recovering From a Suspend Condition
A suspend condition is one that prevents the output device from
operating. Such conditions occur when there are errors or problems with
the output device, such as a misaligned plate or a plate stuck on the drum.
When a suspend condition occurs:
•
The output device stops.
•
The Error light on the operator interface flashes, as do the Status lights
on either side of the operator door.
•
A Suspend message is displayed on the workstation.
The Suspend message indicates the type of problem and suggests a course
of action. See
Error Messages and Recommended Solutions
starting on
page 59 for details.
Suspend Conditions
When a suspend condition occurs, up to three options are displayed on the
workstation. If a button is grayed out, it is not available.
