6 Chapter 1 – System Overview
Trendsetter 3244+ AL Components
The Trendsetter 3244+ AL output device is comprised of the following
components. See Figure 1 on page 4 for the location of these components.
Load Table
The load table

located under the operator door
—
is the entry point for
media into the Trendsetter 3244+ AL during automatic operation. Plates
are picked from the load table, then imaged on the drum.
Operator Door
Opened to access the load table, this large door protects thermal plates
from light and the operator from internal moving parts.
For manual media loading, the closed operator door functions as the
manual bypass tray.
Manual Bypass Panel
This small panel (located directly below the operator door) must be closed
for automatic operation, and open for manual operation.
Manual Bypass Tray
The manual bypass tray allows you to manually load and image one
individual plate on the output device. Depending on the media type
selected in the workstation software, the imaged medium may be unloaded
onto this tray or the unload table.
Note: You should not open this door while the output device is picking plates
from the load table. If this door is opened during operation, the output device
will complete the current job but will not continue after that.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to open the operator door if the Load light on the
operator interface is flashing. For information about the Load light, see Operator
interface on page 7.
