Use the
errdisable detect cause small-frame
global configuration command to allow any switch port
to be error disabled if incoming VLAN-tagged packets are small frames (67 bytes or less) and arrive at
the minimum configured rate (the threshold). Use the
no
form of this command to return to the default
setting.

This command has no arguments or keywords.

This feature is disabled.

This command globally enables the small-frame arrival feature. Use the
small violation-rate
interface
configuration command to set the threshold for each port.
You can configure the port to be automatically re-enabled by using the
errdisable recovery cause
small-frame
global configuration command. You configure the recovery time by using the
errdisable
recovery interval
interval
global configuration command.
Examples
This example shows how to enable the switch ports to be put into the error-disabled mode if incoming
small frames arrive at the configured threshold:

You can verify your setting by entering the
show interfaces
privileged EXEC command.

port to be put into the error-disabled state.
