22. Perform the servicing procedure,

23. Reconnect both the steering cable link

age at the steering shaft, and the throttle

cable to the gas pedal.

1. Adjust the steering cable so that the wheel will be centered when released. Ensure

that the steering wheel has unrestricted rotation to the stops located at the bottom of

the steering wheel housing. Adjust cable if necessary.

See Photo ST-1

on page ST-5.

2. Tighten all nuts and bolts associated with the steering system. Ensure that all cotter

pins and spring/clevis pins are secured and free from wear.

Steering Wheel Adjustment

Vehicles produced from serial numbers V2001G-0108064 (Yellow), V2001D-0108063 (Red)

and V2001DT-0108067 (Yellow) have a steering wheel locking system installed.

power and ground connector to the battery harness.
