3. Loosen the clamp and free the filler neck from the firewall.
4. Pull the vent tube from the filler neck and slip the neck from the rubber filler
hose.
5. Loosen the lower gear clamp at the steel bent tube to replace that section of the rubber
filler hose.

6. Removing the steel bent tube section of the filler hose requires the loosening of the
gear clamp that fastens it to the lower rubber filler hose.
7. To remove the last section of rubber filler hose that enters the tank, you will need to
remove the left and right side transmission covers under the seat assembly. This will
open a better avenue to reach the gear clamp at the tank.
Reinstalling The Filler Hose Assembly
When re-establishing all components of the fuel neck system, it is extremely important that
all connections are tight enough to ensure that no fuel will seep at any of the clamped sections
of hosing, whether it is during refueling or driving. GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL ARE
HIGHLY FLAMMABLE AND CAN EXPLODE UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
ENSURE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHETHER AT WORK OR PLAY.
You will find it much easier to disconnect and
remove the battery when servicing the fuel
filter of the diesel powered CENTAUR. This
filter is located on a bracket welded to the
upper frame cross brace assembly between
the firewall and power pack assembly.
1. Disconnect and remove the battery.
2. Locate the fuel inlet and outlet at the filter and remove.
