Press the [Shift] key.

Press the [No Key Entry] key.

Select the shift direction, then enter the value
using the Numeric keys (

-

).

NOTE

• “Shift direction” does not refer to the direction in

which the original is placed on the platen glass or
in the feeder, but to the direction that you want the
original shifted, if the original document that you
want to scan is viewed as face up and situated in
the center of the copy page. The center position is
the default.

• If you enter a value outside the setting range, a

message prompting you to enter the appropriate
value will appear on the screen.

• To change an entered value, select the direction

and enter the desired value again.

• If you make a mistake when entering values, press

the

key on the touch panel, and enter the values

again.

• If you want to enter values in millimeters, press the

[mm] key.

• For details on how to enter the values in inches,

see “Setting in Inches,” on p. 10-8.
