Using Cruise Control on Hills

How well the cruise control system 
will work on hills depends on 
several factors:

• vehicle speed

• vehicle load

• steepness of the hill

When going up steep hills, you 
may need to use the accelerator 
pedal to maintain your speed.

When going downhill, you may 
need to use the brake pedal to 
control the vehicle's speed.

Applying the brakes disengages 
cruise control.

Cruise grade braking is activated 
whenever cruise control is used 
while tow/haul mode is active.

Outside Mirrors

The passenger’s side mirror is 
convex. A convex mirror’s surface 
is curved so you can see more from 
the driver’s seat.

CAUTION

your shoulder before changing 
lanes.

Each outside rearview mirror may 
also have a turn signal indicator 
which flashes in the direction of
