Wiring Harness
Heavy-Duty Trailer Wiring
Package
The harness has a seven-pin
connector and is attached the rear
bumper beam next to the inte-
grated trailer hitch.
The 7-wire harness contains the
following trailer circuits:
• Yellow: Left stoplight and turn
signal
• Dark green: Right stoplight and
turn signal
• Brown: Taillights
• White: Ground
• Light green: Back-up lights
• Red/Black Stripe: Battery feed†
• Dark Blue: Trailer Brake†*
†The fuses for these two circuits
are located in the engine compart-
ment fuse block. The wires are not
connected. See your dealer or a
qualified service technician to have
the wires connected.
*If you are charging a remote,
non-vehicle battery, turn on the
tow/haul mode to boost the
vehicle system voltage and
properly charge the battery.
Store the harness in its proper
location when not in use.
ELECTRIC BRAKE CONTROL
WIRING PROVISIONS
The wiring provisions are for the
electric trailer brake controller
and include blunt cut wires
located in the instrument panel.
The controller should be installed
by your dealer.
The harness contains the following
circuits:
• Dark Blue: Electric trailer brake
output
• Red/Black: Battery feed
• Light Blue/White: Brake Switch
• White: Ground
