Modifying the Directory Settings
With MasterDirectory, you can modify the following settings for each directory:
•
the title of the directory
•
the ODBC driver name
• the Timestamp field in the directory
•
the parameters for each field in the directory
•
the index fields in the directory
•
the field that MasterDirectory will use for sorting the information in the directory
•
the fields you want displayed (and their order of appearance) in the MasterDirectory window
Setting the Title of a Directory
At any time, you can change the title that appears at the top of the MasterDirectory window for a directory.
To set the title of a directory:
1. Open the directory you want to change.
2. From the Settings menu, choose Directory Properties .
The Directory Properties dialog box appears, displaying the General tab.
3. In the Directory Title box, type the new title for the directory, and then choose the OK button.
The new title appears at the top of the MasterDirectory window.
