Working with Directories
Setting the Fields Displayed in the MasterDirectory Window
This section describes the messages you might encounter while changing the fields displayed in the
MasterDirectory window.
Message:
You must have at least one display field!
Cause:
You did not have any fields in the Display Fields list box and tried to save this setting.
Solution:
Select at least one field to display and add it to the list of displayed fields.
Message:
You cannot have more than XX display fields!
Cause:
You have specified more fields to be displayed than MasterDirectory allows.
Solution:
Remove fields from the list, reducing the number of display fields to be less or equal than xxx.
Modifying Entries in a Directory
This section describes the messages you might encounter while editing entries in a directory.
Message:
Invalid value XXXXX in field XXXXX. Field has format XXXXX!
Cause:
When you edited the fields, you entered information that was not in the specified format.
Solution:
Change the value in the field XXXXX to have the correct format.
Message:
Cannot lock this entry!
Cause:
You attempted to edit an entry while the entry was being edited by another user.
Solution:
Wait and then try to edit the entry again.
Message:
This entry is locked by another user!
Cause:
You attempted to edit an entry while the entry was being edited by another user.
Solution:
Wait and then try to edit the entry again.
Message:
Cannot lock directory! Cannot perform operation.
Cause:
You tried to modify a group of users, and the file (or some of the records) was locked.
Solution:
Unlock the records.
Message:
Cannot create temporary file!
Cause:
There is not enough space on c: to handle the GroupModify procedure.
Solution:
Free some space on c:.
