Setting the Export Maps
After you create an export map (*.exp), you can specify that file using the Export command in the Data
Exchange menu. You cannot export data from MasterDirectory using the Export command in the Data
Exchange menu unless at least one export map is specified.
To set the export maps you want to use:
1. From the Data Exchange menu, choose
Export
.
The Export Maps dialog box appears.
This dialog box shows the export maps that you can select for an export procedure for the current
MasterDirectory file. A check mark next to an export map indicates that the associated map will be run
when you perform an export.
2. If you want to use an export map that you created for another MasterDirectory file, perform the
following steps:
a.
Choose the
Add To List
button.
The Open dialog box appears.
b. Select the export map that you want to use, and then choose the
Open
button.
The Open dialog box closes, and the export map and its path are displayed in the Export Settings
dialog box.
c. Repeat steps a and b for any other export maps that you want to use.
3. If you want to use an export map, click on the check box for the displayed map. A check mark indicates
that the associated map will be used.
4. Choose the
Save
button to save the Export Maps dialog box.
5. When you are finished, choose the
Close
button to close the Export Maps dialog box.
The next time you attempt to export data using the Export command in the Data Exchange menu, the
export map(s) you added will be available for you to select.
