The following aspects of the compared voltages are used in synchorization:
• voltage magnitudes
• voltage frequencies
• voltage phase angles
The two systems are synchronized when these three aspects are matched. All three cannot, of course,
ever be exactly the same so the function requires the user to set the maximum difference between the
measured voltages.
The outputs of the function are the SYN OK, BYPASS, and BLOCKED signals. The synchrocheck
function uses a total of eight (8) separate setting groups which can be selected from one common
source.
Depending on how the measured voltage compares to the set
U live> and U dead< parameters, either
system can be in a "live" or a "dead" state. The parameter
SYNx U conditions is used to determine the
conditions (in addition to the three aspects) which are required for the systems to be considered
synchronized.
