3.4 Prepare the Machine to Bale
3.4.1 Adjust The Height of the Pick-up
Before starting the procedure
IMPORTANT:
Set the height of the pick-up so the tines are a minimum of 2 cm (0.8 in) from the ground.
To adjust the guide wheels, make sure that you lift the pick-up.
Procedure
1.
Disengage the Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft, stop the tractor engine and remove the key.
2.
Close the hydraulic shut-off valve (1).

Remove the spring clip (3) from the pick-up
guide wheel on one side.
4.
Attach the plate (5) with the required hole
onto the axle (6).
5.
Install the spring clip on the axle to attach
the pick-up guide wheel.
6.
Do again steps 2 and 3 for the other pick-up
guide wheel and make sure that you attach
the plate with the same hole on the axle.
7.
Adjust the pick-up safety chains (2) to a
length that gives sufficient movement. The
end of the chains must stay in the hooks (1).

8.
Open the hydraulic shut-off valve (1).
9.
Push the key to set the hydraulic
function to pick-up.
10.
Lower the pick-up with the double acting
valve in the tractor as far as you can. If the
plates (5) are in the right position and the
guide wheels on the ground, the tines are a
minimum of 2 cm (0.8 in) from the ground.
NOTE:
If the double acting valve in the
tractor does not operate in the correct
direction, you can change the red marked
hydraulic hoses on the tractor.
