5.5 Replace a Transport Wheel
Before starting the procedure
• Make sure that you disengage the Power Take-Off (PTO) and stop the tractor engine, and the PTO and
all parts that move must stop before you do work
• Make sure that the machine cannot move
• Obey local safety legislation when you do maintenance on the public road
• The jack must only support the axle beam (and not other parts) to prevent damage or unwanted
movement
• Only place the jack at the position indicated by the lifting point decal
• Make sure that you tighten the wheel nuts to the correct torque and tighten again after you move for 1
hour
• Only replace tyres with approved types that correspond with the type approval of the machine. Speak to
your local dealer for more data. When local legislation requires, see the Certificate of Conformation that
is supplied with the machine to find the approved tyres
• Make sure that all transport wheels are of the same tyre type!
Necessary to complete the procedure.
• A jack with sufficient load capacity for the machine and its load
• Calibrated torque wrench
• If necessary more load support for the machine
• A support tool to remove the transport wheel.
