4.6 Tighten the Chains of the Pick-Up, Bale Chamber and Feed Rotor
Before starting the procedure
After the first 1000 bales it is necessary to adjust the tension of the chains.
Procedure
1.
Set the machine to "OFF" refer to the shut down procedure for maintenance.
2.
Make sure that the guide wheels are in the transport position.
3.
Open the side cover on the left side.
4.
Remove the bolts (2) and remove the pick-up
cover (1).

Loosen the bolt on the chain tensioner (3) of
the pick-up chain (4).
6.
Push the chain tensioner (3) up until the
chain is the correct tension.
7.
Tighten the bolt on the chain tensioner.
8.
Examine the indicator (5) on the automatic
chain tensioner (1) of the pick-up chain (2).
The indicator must show more than 10.
9.
If the indicator is not more than 10, it is
necessary to replace or decrease the length
of the chain.
