4. Align Barcode Beam Position:
a. Remove covers.
b. Block safety cover sensor (rear of unit, left of tower).
c. Set up Sample Loader according to Steps 1, 2, and 3 of “VP - 11.1 Barcode Check” (Page
3-141) .
d. Disconnect tubing from Analyzer to Sample Loader. DO NOT kink Sample Tubing.
e. Turn Sample Loader to access rear.
f. Perform Steps 4, 5, and 6 of “VP - 11.1 Barcode Check” (Page 3-141) .
g. As Barcode Alignment Test is running, loosen Barcode Head Bracket (2 screws) and align red
beam on center of barcode ( Figure 3-79 ).
NOTE:Use the same adjustment procedure for both [NEW] and [OLD] Barcode Readers.
CAUTION:[NEW ONLY] The Barcode adjusting Bracket may contact the Tube Pusher Arm on
some Loaders. If gap between bracket and arm is less than .020”(0.5mm), install Bar-
code Bracket (PN 9311273).
h. Lightly shift rack left and right.
i. Ensure “TEST” displays every time.
