4.4.2 Cleaninn Block and PCR Cassete Preparaton
Important!
Before insertng a PCR cassete into its slot, ensure ttat tte cover plate and tubes are
uncontaminated. One PCR cassete can be inserted into its slot before tte frst positon
on eact donor tray. Tte correct orientaton of tte cassete and its cover plate is stown
on
Figure 6
.

Important!
If TMA Control cannot successfully identfy tte loaded PCR cassete, clean tte slot
area and tte cassete, tten insert tte cassete again. For cleaning blocks use regular
(37mm siize) blocks only.
To avoid contaminaton, cleaning block are used before eact PCR sampling. A cleaning block is a virgin
recipient block from wtict parafn core is extracted and placed back witt tte puncter, tence
cleaning its surface.
Upon selectng tte cleaning block on tte user interface, an automatc layout is generated based on
tte siize of tte puncter in use.
If not every cleaning positon tad been used up during a previous project session, you can use ttat
block furtter on but make sure to manually mark tte frst free positon.
