NOTE:
1. Confirm the cause of the problems have been ruled out before release the Emergency Stop button.
2. The operation back to origin operation and presetting tool must be redo to ensure the correctness of the
coordinates after release the Emergency Stop button.
Generally, the Emergency stop signal is a normally closed contact. The CNC system will enter the
“EMERGENCY STOP” state and the machine tool will be stopped immediately when the normally closed contact
is broke. The contact type in this CNC system is set by the parameter 0020 (emergency stop signal is normally
open/close).
The circuit connection of normally closed emergency stop signal is shown in Fig. 2-2:
Fig. 2-2
2.3.3 Cycle Hold
The machine tool can be paused and held by “Cycle Hold” key during operation process. It is important to
note that the CNC system will not pause until the current instruction is complete during the operation of rigid
tapping and loop instruction.
2.4 Cycle Start and Cycle Hold
The process program can be started and paused by the “Cycle Start” and “Cycle Hold” keys of operation
panel in Auto, MDI and DNC modes.
2.5 Overtravel Protection
In order to avoid the damage, caused by the feed axes overtravel, to the machine, the overtravel protection
must be taken in the machine.
2.5.1 Hard Overtravel Protection
Install travel limit switches at the positive and negative maximum stroke position of the machine tool’s feed
axes respectively. When the tool tries to move beyond the stroke, the tool decelerates and stops because of
working the limit switch and the over travel alarm is displayed.
Overtravel during Automatic operation: When the tool touches a limit switch along an axis during automatic
operation, the tool is decelerated and stopped along all axes and an overtravel alarm is displayed.
Overtravel during Manual operation: In manual operation, the tool is decelerated and stopped only along the
axis for which the tool has touched a limit switch. The tool still moves along the other axes.
