13.4.3 L Rigid Tapping Cycle (G74)
In the rigid tapping mode, the spindle motor works like a servo motor, can achieve high speed and precision
tapping.
Format:
G74 X_ Y_ Z_ R_ P_ F_ K_;
X_ Y_: Hole position data
Z_: absolute coordinate of the hole bottom (absolute value)
From the R point to the bottom of the hole distance (incremental mode)
R_: absolute coordinates of point R (absolute value)
Distance (incremental mode) from an initial position to point R
P_: Dwell time
F_: Cutting feed rate
K_: repetitions

Along the X-axis and Y-axis after positioning, rapid traverse to R point, from point to point Z R Tapping is
performed. When tapping is completed, the spindle stops and execution is suspended, then the spindle in the
positive direction of rotation and return to point R, the spindle is stopped, then quickly move to the initial position.
When tapping cycle is being executed, the feed rate and spindle speed override default is 100%, but the fallback
speed adjusted by parameter 0607.
In the feed per minute mode (G94), thread lead = feedrate ÷ spindle speed; in feed per rotation mode (G95),
the thread lead equals the feed rate.
