Setup Screen
Here you set up the non-project related settings. Most settings will be automatically saved and
loaded on power-up.

Video Expander →
Enables or disables the Video Expander functions. If no Video
Expander is connected then this function should be turned off. If it is set to USB, then the
Video Functions are disabled but a USB Keyboard connected to the Video Expander can
be used. If the setting is set to clone then the Video Expander is fully initialized and able to
clone the NerdSEQ screen. By pressing
OK
with an enabled Video Expander, the
screen can be entered.
If you press
SHIFT+OK
then the Video Expander will receive a reset signal. You might want
to use it if your USB Keyboard or HDMI output was not properly detected on startup.

Compact Sequencer
→ Clears and releases unused Patterns
•
Compact Tables
→ Clears and releases unused and empty Tables. A release of unused
but not empty tables must be done with the special
Function in the
.

Compact Patch
→ Clears and releases unused Patches
•
Key Press Delay
- Time until the Key is being repeated
•
Key Hold Repeat
- how fast a key is being repeated (after the Key press delay)
•
Navigation Wrap
– Enable/Disable if the cursor should wrap back when reached the begin
of end of a row/column

Edit Steps
→ Decides how many steps the cursor should jump down after entering a value
using SHIFT + UP in the pattern screen. Value 0 turns the edit steps off.

Pattern Launch Type
→ Defines how patterns should be started/launched on the
sequencer screen. The Setting ‘Normal’ is the standard setting where a new selected
pattern will start when the current playing pattern has been finished, regardless of it’s length
and state. (Except for if a new pattern is selected to be started on the next queue point)
If the Setting is set to ‘Sync’ then a new pattern is being started at the zero cross of the
mainclock. Shorter or longer patterns will keep on playing or switch to the next one on the
chain if finished, but on the zero cross (or queue point if set to be started there) the new
selected pattern is always starting in sync.

Auto Fill-In Trigger
→ When enabled, a trigger of 40 is automatically inserted when
inserting a new note
