Section 3 — Menus
Transform Engine Menu Delegation
The Transform Engine menu contains a data pad matrix in the upper left
for delegation (
). Data pads for keyers with Transform Engines
assigned and Effects Send on will be active. Data pads for keyers that do
not have Effects Send on will be grayed out and inactive. Effects Send can
be turned on and assigned to a keyer with the
Eff Send
button on the Main
panel, or with the Effects Send menu (see
). Transform Engine
values for the delegated keyer are displayed on the rest of the menu.
Touch an active data pads to delegate the menu to control one of the 16
keyers, or to control a

enabled, Global Assignment is on, and if the Key is off.
Global Channel Assignments
When a keyer is assigned to a Global channel, it is also affected by trans-
forms of that Global channel, permitting the easy creation of complicated
moves. Multiple keyers can be assigned to Global channel, allowing coor-
dinated moves of all the assigned keyers. A keyer is associated with the
Global channel by delegating the keyer, then touching the
Global
modifier
button in the Enables pane on the upper right side of the Transform Engine
menu so it is illuminated. No information appears in the
Global Pri
data pad
itself, and some functions (Skew, Crop, Reverse) are inactive for these chan-
nels and so are grayed out.
The
Global Sec
delegation buttons are inactive in Release 11.0.
Transform Controls
The transform controls below the delegation matrix delegates what 3-D
transformation will be controlled with the soft knobs or pop-up keypad
entry. Selecting one of the transform buttons activates the soft knobs on the
right side of the Menu panel to control specific parameters of that trans-
form.
The transform controls are organized on the menu according to Source and
Target space capabilities. See 3-D Digital Effects Concepts in the Kalypso User
Manual for background information about 3-D image controls, including
Source and Target space. Note that some parameters intrinsically apply to
either Source or Target space, and have no meaning in the other space. Size
and aspect for example apply only to the Source space. Perspective applies
to the projection of the transformed image on the TV screen and has no
meaning in Source space.
The

in either source or target space with the touch buttons at the left of their
pane. Selecting the
