being executed terminates the sequence operation. Any any effect dissolve
(or effect run) will complete, and the last recalled register will remain the
current effect.
Note that once a register has been learned as a sequence, it will always
proceed to the next programmed register when recalled as a sequence. For
example, suppose a sequence of registers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 was learned in a bank.
If after this a sequence of 1, 3, 5, 6 was learned as a sequence in the same
bank, the resulting sequence run from register 1 will be 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10,
because register 6 was previously linked to 8, and 8 to 10. You can guar-
antee that a register will be the last one in the sequence by pressing the
ending register number twice when learning the sequence, instead of the
Lock/Learn
button. This breaks the link to the next register. In the above
example, the second sequence can be learned to run correctly by pressing:
Lock/Learn
,
Seq, 1, 3, 5, 6, 6
Effect Dissolve Button
The
Effect Dis
button is used to specify an effect dissolve from the current
state of the work buffer to the first key frame of a new register. This prefix
button modifies Learn and Recall operations.
Any register can be recalled as an effect dissolve with the following proce-
dure. This is useful for testing an effect before it is learned as an effect dis-
solve. Parentheses indicate optional use of one of the bank selection
processes described earlier:
Effect Dis
,
(bank selection)
,
register
The
Effect Dis
button goes high tally while the Effect Dissolve is being per-
formed. The effect dissolve rate is one second, unless the register has pre-
viously been learned with a different dissolve rate (see below). Recalling
another register while an effects dissolve is in progress aborts the current
effects dissolve and then performs the recall. Pressing the
Effect Dis
button
while an Effect Dissolve is in progress stops it at that point.
A register may be learned so an Effect Dissolve is always performed when-
ever that register is recalled using the following procedure. This learns a
new state into the register, so you should recall the register involved before
performing this procedure:
Lock/Learn
,
Effect Dis
,
(dissolve rate)
,
(bank selection)
,
register
The
Effect Dis
button may be pressed before
Lock/Learn
if desired. A dissolve
rate can be specified using the
Trans Rate
button for time entry.
An Effect Dissolve learned to a register can be cleared by recalling the reg-
ister, waiting until the effect dissolve completes (the
Effect Dis
button will go
off), and then pressing
Lock/Learn
and the register number to relearn the reg-
ister.
