Section 3 — Menus
File Operations Menu
The File Operations menu employs the Kalypso file browser. This menu is
used to navigate through the available file hierarchies, create folders,
rename folders and files, and copy/paste files. Only mapped network
drives and selected areas of the Kalypso system are accessible. The menu is
reached by touching
File Ops
( Figure 154 ).

On the left side of the File Operations menu is a file display pane equipped
with a scroll bar. This pane shows icons and names of the files, folders, and
drives contained in the currently selected directory. When at the Top level
a Frame User Directory icon is also displayed that provides access to the
User directory on the Video Processor frame hard disk, where files can be
saved as Profiles. The current path is displayed at the top of the pane.
Touching an icon selects that item. Touching a selected icon de-selects it
(when Multi Select is off). Double touching a folder or drive icon opens it.
On the upper right, below the top line message area, is a file operations
message pane. The current file activity is reported. Prompt messages also
appear, and error messages are displayed if problems occur.
Below the message area are navigation and action touch buttons. The nav-
igation buttons control what directory is selected for the file display pane.
The
Up
button moves up one hierarchy level.
