4-M/E Main Panel
Transition Subpanels
Each M/E on the Kalypso system, including PGM PST, is functionally
identical to each other and provides complete mix, wipe, and keying capa-
bilities. Each M/E has a transition subpanel used to control these compos-
iting operations (
Figure 53 ).

Each transition subpanel actually incorporates five transition systems.
Each subpanel has one set of main transition controls, and also has indi-
vidual cut and mix transition controls for each of the four keyers.
The DoubleTake option allows the operator to divide a Kalypso system
M/E into two partitions (Primary and Secondary). Each Split Mode M/E
partition can be assigned resources (keyers and wipe generators) of that
M/E, and the Transition subpanel controls the delegated partition. See the
