4-M/E Main Panel
If another macro register button is pressed while a macro is being recorded,
the macro contents of this other macro are appended to the currently
recorded macro. There is no cross-reference or call other macro function-
ality. Therefore, one macro can be appended to another macro in this
manner and if the original macro is deleted the new macro will still play
correctly.
The macro alternate buttons can also be used for recording macros (see
Macro Alternate Buttons on page 135
).
A macro recording can also be initiated from the Macro menu on the Menu
panel. A recording initiated in this manner does not automatically delegate
the keyer row for macro operations. The macro register being recorded into
is selected on the Macro menu.
Insert Delay
During a macro recording, time delays can be inserted into macros. The
Insert Delay
button activates macro Insert Delay mode. In this mode the
macro delegated M/E’s source name displays show time durations which
can be selected by pressing the corresponding keyer buttons. When
unshifted the selections are in 0.1 second increments, and when shifted are
in field increments. Repeated selections are permitted to allow entry of
longer delays. The
Insert Delay
button remains on until pressed again
(latched mode), to permit multiple button selections. The
Insert Delay
button
is only active when a macro is being recorded, however, and goes off when
the macro recording has finished.
The macro alternate buttons can also be used to insert delays while
recording macros (see
Macro Alternate Buttons on page 135
).
Macro Delete
The
Delete
button activates macro Delete mode. When delete mode is on,
pressing a macro button deletes the macro associated with that button.
After a macro has been deleted macro delete mode automatically turns off.
To delete another macro you will need to activate the
Delete
button again. A
macro that is being played or recorded cannot be deleted. You must stop
the macro playback or recording before it can be deleted.
The macro alternate buttons can also be used to delete macros (see
Any macro button attachments that may exist are NOT deleted along with
the macro. These attachments persist and whatever macro steps may later
be recorded into that macro register will become activated on the attached
button when the
Attach Enable
button is on. If a macro with a
Repl Attach
is
deleted, the original function of that button will no longer occur when that
button is pressed while the
Attach Enable
button is on (it will instead play the
non-existent macro).
