number and press
Enter
to move the cursor to the specified time, or press
Trim
to move it that time amount (negative numbers move the cursor back-
ward). Pressing the
Undo/
• button as the time value and then pressing
Enter
moves the cursor to the start of the master timeline (zero time). This button
is inactive during effect runs.
KF Dur
– The
KF Dur
button is used to change the duration of the current key-
frame in the work buffer to the next keyframe, which can then be applied
to the keyframe the cursor is on, or be used to specify the duration of an
Insert operation. Pressing
KF Dur
activates the function, causes the readout
to display the current keyframe duration (time to the next edit keyframe on
the master timeline), and delegates the Master E-MEM keypad for time
entry. After typing in a value, the
Enter
and
Trim
buttons can used as above
to change the duration. Unlike the other buttons in this group, after the
duration has been set you must press the
Mod/MdAll
button to apply that
value to the keyframe the cursor is on. The specified duration is also used
for new keyframes created with the
Insert Before
or
Insert After
buttons.
Pressing the • button as the time value and then pressing
Enter
resets the
default keyframe duration in the work buffer to one second.
KF Time
– The
KF Time
button is used to reposition the keyframe the cursor is
located on to a specified time in the effect. Pressing this button activates the
function, causes the readout to display the current keyframe time, and del-
egates the Master E-MEM keypad for time entry. After typing in a value,
the
Enter
and
Trim
buttons can used as above to change the time value, and
the change is enacted immediately (no need to press
Modify
). The keyframe
will move to the new time. If
Const Dur
mode is off, subsequent key frames
will also move. If
Const Dur
mode is on, only the current key frame position
changes and the others remain at their last locations.
Level Start Time
– The Level Start Time button is used to delay the start of a
level when run. Pressing this button activates the function, causes the
readout to display the current level start time, and delegates the Master
E-MEM keypad for time entry. After typing in a value, the Enter and Trim
buttons can used as above to change the time value. The effect will be
delayed that amount of time before it starts to run.
The
Effect Dur
button is inactive in Kalypso Release 11.0.
Master E-MEM Readout Display
The Master E-MEM readout is organized the same as the individual
E-MEM readouts. See
E-MEM Readout Display on page 110
E-MEM readout can also display additional level related information, and
shows different prompts for the other Master E-MEM keypad prefix func-
tions (
