Section 2 — Control Panels
Source Selection Buses
Source selection on the Local Aux panel is identical to the Main panel.
Thirty two source buttons are available in a single row on each bus. The
source name display between the buses identify the sources available for
selection on both buses. Four additional source buttons (
M/E 1
,
M/E 2
,
M/E 3
,
PgmPst
) are located to right side of the delegation buttons for each bus.
These buttons select the output of that M/E.
Source Select Modifiers
Source select modifiers (
Unshift
,
Shift
,
Key Split, Near, and Far
) are available on
the right side of each bus. These function similar to the Main panel source
select modifiers (see
Source Select Modifier Buttons on page 72
The
Unshift
and
Shift
buttons force a selection to be from the shifted or
unshifted source groups but, unlike the Main panel, the buttons light. They
low tally to indicate the shift preference and high tally to indicate whether
the source currently selected on the bus is from the shifted or unshifted
group. Source select buttons on the Local Aux panel never flash.
When an Aux bus has been configured as an Aux pair, the
Key Split
button
is held down to select the source on the B side of the pair.
The Local Aux panel does not have Alt bus buttons. The bus delegation
buttons are used instead.
Gang Select Button
The Gang Roll feature permits rolling multiple external devices with a
single command. Pressing the
Gang Select
button delegates the lower source
selection bus on the Local Aux panel for device selection. Devices are
selected for Gang Roll on the Local Aux panel, and are then controlled
together on the Machine Control subpanel, using the
Play/Gang Roll
button.
See Gang Roll in the Kalypso User Manual for specific operating instructions.
Aux Bus Current Source Displays
The local aux bus panel has a row of displays above the upper bus #1 del-
egation row. These displays identify the current selection on every bus that
panel can control.
Emergency Bypass
The Local Aux panel can be assigned to control the optional Emergency
Bypass option, using the Emergency Bypass buttons on the upper left. See
the separate Kalypso Emergency Bypass Instructions Manual for specific oper-
ation, installation, and configuration information.
