Section 2 — Control Panels
Macro Delegation
The
Macro Deleg
button delegates a keyer source select button row
(PGM PST K1/K3 is the default) for macro operations and reports that
macro mode is active (high tally). Pressing
Macro Deleg
toggles the macro
delegation on and off.
On the Main panel, any keyer source select button row on any M/E can be
delegated for macro operations. This is accomplished by holding down the
Macro Deleg
button and pressing any keyer source select button on the
desired row of the desired M/E. Macro names, when displayed, will also
appear on this M/E. That button row remains delegated to Macro opera-
tions when Macro Deleg is on. Pressing the
Alt Buses
button will not change
the behavior of the macro bus, but still delegates the other button rows in
that M/E to their alternate buses.
Macro Deleg
interacts with other delegation buttons for the delegated keyer
row. Holding down the
Shift
button while in this mode delegates the row to
shifted macros. Note also that holding down the keyer delegation buttons
next to the M/E Status display continues to temporarily delegate that row
to source selection for that keyer. The
Macro Deleg
button will dim tally in
this state.
Pressing the
Rec
,
Delete
,
Pre Attach
,
Repl Attach
, and
Post Attach
buttons when
macro mode is not on automatically activates macro mode and illuminates
the
Macro Deleg
button.
Show Macro
Pressing
Show Macro
when macro mode is on displays the names of existing
macros on the M/E delegated for macros. Holding down the
Shift
button
while in this mode displays the shifted macro names. This mode remains
on until turned off by pressing the button again. The
Show Macro
button is
only active when macro mode is on, so the last show macro state selected
remains in force if macro mode is turned off and back on.
Macro Record
The
Rec
button activates or terminates macro Record mode. In this mode,
you select the macro register into which you wish to record, using the del-
egated keyer row, perform the desired actions, and then finish the
recording by either pressing the
Rec
button again or pressing the macro reg-
ister button. During actual recording the
Rec
button and the macro register
buttons blink. Pressing a blinking button deactivates the mode.
That M/E’s
Shift
button is used to select shifted macro registers.
Additional macro steps can be appended to an existing macro. To do so,
double press the
Rec
button and then select an existing macro. The steps
subsequently recorded will be added to end of that macro.
