CARBURETOR HEATER
• Disconnect the carburetor heater terminal lead wire

Measure the resistance between the terminals using the multi
circuit tester.

NOTE:
This check should be carried out when the engine is cold.
CARBURETOR THERMO SWITCH
The temperature at which the thermo switch closes must be within
specification. Measure the closing temperature of the thermo
switch as follows.
• Disconnect the carburetor thermo switch.
• Connect the thermo switch to the multi circuit tester and place
it in a container of water. Cool the water with ice

and ob-
serve the temperature when the thermo switch closes.
