• Drive out the upper and lower races.

REASSEMBLY AND REMOUNTING

Reassemble and remount the steering stem and handlebars in
the reverse order of removal and disassembly. Pay attention to
the following points:

• Press in the upper and lower races using the special tool.

09941-34513: Steering inner race installer

• Press in the lower inner race using the special tool.

09941-74910: Bearing installer

• Apply grease to the upper and lower outer races.

99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”

• Install the upper and lower steel balls.

Upper steel balls

Lower steel balls

30 pcs

• Tighten the steering stem nut

, and then loosen it

– ¼ of a

turn.

NOTE:
This adjustment will vary from motorcycle to motorcycle. Make
sure that the steering turns smoothly and easily; in both direc-
