3-6 ENGINE
ENGINE INSTALLATION
Install the engine in the reverse order of removal.
• Install the crankcase bracket

to the frame.
• Install the engine and engine mounting shaft.
• Install the rear shock absorber lower mounting bolt.
• Tighten the crankcase bracket nut

to the specified torque.

Crankcase bracket nut: 102 N.m (10.2 kgf.m)
• Elevate the front wheel and support the motorcycle with a jack.
• Tighten the engine mounting nut

to the specified torque.

Engine mounting nut: 85 N.m (8.5 kgf.m)
NOTE:
When tightening the engine mounting nut, make sure the front
wheel is elevated.
• Tighten the rear shock absorber lower mounting bolt

to the
specified torque.
"
Rear shock absorber lower mounting bolt:
32 N.m (3.2 kgf.m)
• Place 65 kg on the seat, after installing the engine.
• Check the clearance

. The clearance

should be 38 – 40
mm. If the clearance
A
is incorrect, repeat the engine installa-
tion procedures.
• After installing the engine, properly route the wire harness,
cables, and hoses. Refer to the wire, cable and hose routing
sections. (
