REMOUNTING

Remount the fuel pump in the reverse order of removal. Pay at-
tention to the following points.
• Connect the fuel hoses

and vacuum hose

securely.

Fuel hose

(To fuel valve)

Fuel hose

(To carburetor)

Vacuum hose

(To crankcase)

NOTE:
The arrows on the fuel pump indicate the directions of fuel flows.

FUEL PUMP

INSPECTION AND REMOVAL

Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.

Keep heat, sparks, and flames away from gasoline.

• Disconnect the fuel hose

from the carburetor and then put it

into a receptacle.

Check the fuel flow when cranking the engine for few seconds by
pressing the starter button.
If the fuel does not flow out, inspect the fuel valve. (

If the fuel valve is OK, replace the fuel pump with a new one.
• Remove the frame covers. (

• Disconnect the fuel hoses

and vacuum hose

• Remove the fuel pump mounting bolts.
