CHASSIS

• When installing the washer, align the tongue

of the washer

with the groove

of the steering stem shaft.

• Tighten the steering stem locknut

to the specified torque

using the special tool.

Steering stem locknut: 30 N.m (3.0 kgf.m)

09910-60611: Universal clamp wrench

• Finger tighten the handlebar set bolt

and clamp nut

, and

then tighten them to the specified torque.

Set bolt

: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf.m)

Clamp nut

: 50 N.m (5.0 kgf.m)

NOTE:
Hold the front fork legs, move them back and forth and make sure
the steering is not loose.

* After performing the adjustment and installing the

handlebar, “rock” the front wheel assembly forward and
backward to ensure there is no play and the procedure
was accomplished correctly.

* Check the steering stem to make sure it moves freely

from left to right with its own weight. If play or stiff-
ness is noticeable, readjust the steering stem nut.
