ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

ENGINE REMOVAL

Before taking the engine out of the frame, wash the engine with a
steam cleaner.

• Remove the front leg shield cover. (

5-4)

• Remove the battery rubber band

• Disconnect the

battery lead wire

• Remove the trunk along with the seat. (

5-6)

• Remove the frame covers. (

5-7)

• Disconnect the starter motor lead wire coupler

, engine ground

wire coupler

, thermoelement lead wire coupler

and igni-

tion coil lead wire coupler

• Disconnect the generator lead wire coupler

and pickup coil

lead wire coupler

• Disconnect the oil hose

from the oil pump.
