Replacing Memory Modules (DIMMs)
Follow these steps to remove and replace the server’s dual inline memory modules
(DIMMs).
Removing a DIMM
1. Prepare the server for DIMM removal. See:

■
“Removing the Server From the Rack” on page 30
■
“Performing Antistatic Measures” on page 31
■
“Removing the Top Cover” on page 33
Note –
You will only need to slide the PCI tray back for this procedure.
2. Flip the DIMM/CPU duct open. DIMMs are located underneath. See
FIGURE 3-49
.

3. Identify the DIMM to remove and press the ejector levers open, releasing the
DIMM (
