9-3-4. Capstan Free Speed Adjustment
1.
On the DIAG menu, set PAGE as follows.

When alignment tape ZR2-1/P is inserted into this
unit,this adjustment is initiated automatically
The “ADJUSTING.....” message is displayed on the
audio meter LCD.

Be sure to use alignment tape ZR2-1/P. If not, the
adjustment is not performed correctly even if the
“ADJUST COMPLETE” message is displayed after
adjustment is completed.
3.
When this adjustment is completed, the “ADJUST
COMPLETE” message is displayed on the audio meter
LCD. And the tape is ejucted automatically.
If the “ADJUST INCOMPLETE” message is dis-
played, Check the circuit (SST-3 board) relevant to
capstan motor and CTL head.

9-3-5. Drum PG Phase Adjustment
1.
Turn the power off.
2.
Select the all four switches of switches S1 and S2 on
the UDR-9 board which attaches to the upper drum to
the TEST (ON).

Connect a oscilloscope.

Insert an allignment tape (ZR2-1/P) and play back the
50% FLAT FIELD (All channel) recorded portion
(TIME; 25 : 00 : 00 - 26 : 59 : 29).

On the DIAG menu, set PAGE as follows.

Adjust the time A to meet the following specification
by pressing the UP/DOWN button.
