5. Tape end sensor position adjustment

(1) Install the tape end sensor and tighten the screw

temporary.

(2) Insert a blank cassette tape. Then the tape will be

threaded.

(3) Set the flat side of the end sensor positioning tool to

contact to the tip of the tape end sensor.

(4) Check that the thin portion (go-end) of the positioning

tool does not touch the tape.

(5) And check that the thick portion (not-go-end) of the

positioning tool does not go to between the tape and

the tape end sensor.

(6) Adjust the position of the tape end sensor so that it

meet above two checks.

(7) Fix the tape end sensor, and tighten the screw.

6. Cleaning

Clean the S-tension guide (S5 guide) using a cleaning cloth

moistened with cleaning fluid.

7. Tape tension check

(1) Insert a FWD back tension measuring cassette tape,

and put the mode into the recording.

(2) Check that the value of the FWD back tension measur-

ing cassette tape at the S side meter meets the specifi-

casion .

Spec. 0.76 to 0.87

N•m (74 to 85 gf•cm)

If it does not meet, carry out the first step and the

laters again.
