3. Select and set up the fax printer you intend to use in the
Fax process.
•
From the Printer Name list box, select the printer.
•
Specify paper size, source, and page orientation.
•
Click the Properties button to define additional options such
as print quality. Refer to your fax documentation for more
information.
4. Click OK in the Print Setup dialog.
Note that the new fax printer is shown in the Fax To field on the
Fax tab.
Set up the fax job
The Fax tab (refer to Figure 4–28) provides controls to set up the
fax job. You can also click the Properties button to specify scanner
and page refinement settings.
To set up your fax job:
1. Specify fax quality, one of:
Fine
provides fine-mode image quality (200 by 200 dots-
per-inch)
Superfine
improves image quality to 300 by 300 dpi
Halftone
optimizes the image if you are faxing a photograph or
other graphical image
