Test Glossary
The following Test Glossary describes the terms used in the diagnostic tests in
the table: “Diagnostic Tests” on page D-3.

Test Term Description
BCOD An FPGA unit on the Video+ card.
CM Card Manager
DSP Digital Signal Processor, a special type of
programmable co-processor, designed for
performing the mathematics used for
manipulating different types of information
in the Audio+ card.
FPGA Field-Programmable Gate Array, a type of
programmable logic chip.
PCI Peripheral Component Interconnect, a 64-
bit bus, though it is usually implemented as
a 32-bit bus.
Proc Processor.
QIFI An FPGA unit on the Audio+ card.
TDM Time Division Multiplexing, a type of
combination of multiple signals (analog or
digital) for transmission over a single line or
media that combines data streams by
assigning each stream a different time slot
in a set.
