Checking what’s in the box
Please check that you’ve r eceived the following

Loading the batteries
Caution
Inco rr ect use of batte r ies may r esult in such
haza r ds as leakage and bu r sting. Obse r ve the
following pr ecautions:
• Neve r use new and old batte r ies togethe r .
• Inse r t the p lus and minus sides of the
batte r ies pr o p e r ly acco r ding to the ma r ks
in the batte r y case.
• Batte r ies with the same sha p e may have
diffe r ent voltages. Do not use diffe r ent
batte r ies togethe r .
• When dis p osing of used batte r ies, p lease
com p ly with gove r nmental r egulations o r
envi r onmental p ublic inst r uction’s r ules
that a pp ly in you r count r y o r a r ea.
• Do not use o r sto r e batte r ies in di r ect
sunlight o r othe r excessively hot p lace,
such as inside a ca r o r nea r a heate r . This
can cause batte r ies to leak, ove r heat,
ex p lode o r catch fi r e. It can also r educe the
life o r p e r fo r mance of batte r ies.
Installing the receiver
• When installing this unit, make su r e to p ut
it on a level and stable su r face.
Don’t install it on the following p laces:
– on a colo r TV (the sc r een may disto r t)
– nea r a cassette deck (o r close to a device that
gives off a magnetic field). This may inte r fe r e
with the sound.
– in di
r ect sunlight
– in dam p o r wet a r eas
– in ext r emely hot o r cold a r eas
– in p laces whe r e the r e is vib r ation o r othe r
movement
– in
p laces that a r e ve r y dusty
– in p laces that have hot fumes o r oils (such as
a kitchen)
Ventilation
When installing this unit, make su r e to leave
s p ace a r ound the unit fo r ventilation to im pr ove
heat dis p e r sal (at least 60 cm at the to p ). If not
enough s p ace is pr ovided between the unit and
walls o r othe r equi p ment, heat will build u p
inside, inte r fe r ing with p e r fo r mance and/o r
causing malfunctions.
Slot and o p enings in the cabinet a r e pr ovided
fo r ventilation and to pr otect the equi p ment
f r om ove r heating. To pr event fi r e haza r d, do not
p lace anything di r ectly on to p of the unit, make
su r e the o p enings a r e neve r blocked o r cove r ed
with items (such as news p a p e r s, table-cloths
and cu r tains), and do not o p e r ate the
equi p ment on thick ca rp et o r a bed.
