components

on the kind of com p onent you’ r e connecting.

Follow the ste p s below to connect a CD-R, MD,
DAT, ta p e r eco r de r o r othe r audio com p onent.
1 If your component has a digital output,
connect this to a digital input on the receiver
as shown.
The exam p le shows an o p tical connection to
the
DIGITAL OPTICAL IN 1 (CD-R/TAPE)
in p ut.
2 If necessary, connect the analog audio
outputs of the component to a set of spare
audio inputs on this receiver.
You’ll need to make this connection fo r
com p onents without a digital out p ut, o r if you
want to r eco r d f r om a digital com p onent. Use a
ste r eo RCA p hono cable as shown.
3 If you’re connecting a recorder, connect
the analog audio outputs to the analog audio
inputs on the recorder.
The exam p le shows an analog connection to
the
CD-R/TAPE
analog out p ut jack using a
ste r eo RCA p hono cable.
Note
1 Note that you must connect digital com p onents to analog audio jacks if you want to r eco r d to/f r om digital com p onents (like
an MD) to/f r om analog com p onents.
