controls
Use the numbe r buttons to di r ectly select a

These buttons switch between the ha r d
disk, DVD and VCR cont r ols fo r HDD/DVD/

EQ
P r ess to switch on/off Acoustic Calib r ation
EQ setting ( p age 36).
CH SELECT
P r ess r e p eatedly to select a channel, then

to adjust the level ( p age 43).

Use to adjust the channel level.
SB CH
Use to select the su rr ound back channel
mode ( p age 36).
PHASE
P r ess to switch on/off Phase Cont r ol
( p age 10).
SPEAKERS
Use to change the s p eake r system
( p age 24).
MIDNIGHT
Switches to Midnight o r Loudness
listening ( p age 38).
SLEEP
P r ess to change the amount of time befo r e
the r eceive r switches into standby (
30 min
– 60 min – 90 min – Off
). You can check
the r emaining slee p time at any time by
pr essing
SLEEP
once.

14 TV CONTROL buttons
These buttons a r e dedicated to cont r ol the TV
assigned to the

button. Thus if you only have
one TV to hook u p to this system assign it to the


Use to tu r n on/off the p owe r of the TV.
INPUT
Use to select the TV in p ut signal.
CH +/–
Use to select channels.
VOL +/–
Use to adjust the volume on you r TV.
15 MASTER /–
Use to set the listening volume.
16 MUTE
Mutes/unmutes the sound.
17 DISPLAY
Switches the dis p lay of this unit. The in p ut
name, listening mode o r sound volume can be
checked by selecting an in p ut sou r ce.
18 SHIFT
P r ess to access the ‘boxed’ commands (above
the buttons) on the r emote. These buttons a r e
ma r ked with an aste r isk (

) in this section.
This button is also used fo r o p e r ating ZONE 2
( p age 47).
